The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries of Algeria, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Algeria and CIHEAM-IAMM, organizes the kick off seminar of the second phase of the ENPARD South Support Programme (ESSP II) in Algeria on the 16thof December 2015.

 

The preliminary work undertaken enabled us to identify several issues on which the Ministry intends to launch a renewed political dialogue in the ESSP II framework:

​

• The regulation, organization and development of the agricultural chains;

• Agricultural education and vocational training;

• Capacity building in support of professional organizations;

• Enhancing the value of forest products and fisheries;

• Optimizing the management and use of natural resources in agriculture.

 

A think tank has been set up under the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries of Algeria. The main goal of this think tank is to lead and feed the national dialogue on the identified priority issues. This kick off seminar will also be an opportunity for the Ministry to introduce the think tank, to specify its missions, its organization as well as its roadmap.
